چکیده

Objective: This study was done to evaluate the susceptibility of Staphylococcus aureus mupirocin and determine antimicrobial pattern among various clinical isolates. Methods: All consecutive, non-duplicative isolates collected during year 2020 were subjected disk diffusion method stocked. Mupirocin for all stocked detected by Minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) determination Epsilometer test (E-test). Results: The total number 52. maximum isolated from pus sample 40 (76.9%). Among 52 isolates, 26 (50%) found be methicillin-resistant (MRSA). susceptible tetracycline (100%), vancomycin teicoplanin linezolid (100%). By E-test, overall prevalence resistance 63.5%. Low-level (MupRL) 8-256 µg/ml 59.6% high-level (MupRH) ≥512 3.9%. Conclusion: present shows a high (63.5%) which is serious concern. Therefore, indiscriminate use topical in carriers not advisable. It may recommended only case an outbreak skin soft tissue infection attributed aureus.

Minimum Inhibitory Concentration of Cefotaxime by E-test Method on Klebsiella in Gorgan

Abstract Background and objectives: the increasing use of antibiotics, especially the third generation cephalosporins, is an important factor in the spread of antibiotic resistance in bacteria. The main reason for the development of resistance phenotype such as Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamas (ESBL) is the extensive use of broad-spectrum cephalosporins. In phenotypic survey, the Phenotyping c...

Minimum Inhibitory Concentration of Staphylococcus Aureus against Vancomycin

The main objective of this investigation is to find out the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of Staphylococcus aureus with reduced inclination to vancomycin among 30 clinical isolates of methicillin-resistance Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and was screened by Etest and broth dilution methods. The comparative analysis of MIC for vancomycin by broth dilution and Etest methods discloses that ...
